Upper Cape Naturalists Club

Upper Cape Naturalists Club

The goal of the Upper Cape Naturalists Club is to actively promote knowledge, appreciation, and preservation of our natural environment. We will cover wide ranging topics, from birds to trees, forest ecology to fish passage restoration, and wild edibles to insect identification. Specific meeting topics can be catered to the interests of the group. The actual format of monthly meetings will vary from lectures to seminar-like discussions with shared facilitation, where members have done some reading, researching, observing, and otherwise engaging in the planned topic prior to the meeting. Members are able and encouraged to lead a monthly meeting on a topic of special interest to them.

The group is open to anyone with an interest in learning about nature and/or sharing their knowledge of the natural world with others. No formal training nor expertise is required, beginners to experienced naturalists are welcome. Although the material will be geared towards adults, mature children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Membership is free and all meetings and events are open to the public. (An additional fee may apply for select outings.)
